Federation of American Scientists

The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) is a non-profit group made up of scientists and other experts who focus on science and security-related issues. They work to make sure that the public and our government has access to accurate and reliable information about science and its potential effects on our lives. They also work to reduce the risk of conflict, promote arms control and protection of the environment, and create a healthier and more secure world. In other words, they are all about using science to make the world safer and more peaceful.
