ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Feed forward (control)

Feed Forward (Control) is a type of control system that uses a signal from the output of a process and sends it back to the input of the same process in order to make adjustments. This type of control system is used to make sure that the output of the process matches the desired input. For example, if you have a machine that is supposed to turn coffee beans into coffee, the output of the machine needs to match the input. The feed forward control system will take the output, compare it to the input, and then make adjustments to the machine to make sure the output matches the input.
