Fellowship (financial)

Fellowship is like when someone gives you money to help you do something important. It's like a special kind of gift, but it's not just for fun things like toys or candy. People give fellowships to help you learn more or do research on a topic that you care about.

Sometimes, when grown-ups have important jobs like being a doctor or a scientist, they want to learn new things or do research to help people even more. But doing that kind of work takes a lot of time and resources. That's where fellowships come in. People and organizations who care about the work that these grown-ups are doing will give them money to help support them while they learn or research.

For example, if someone wants to be a doctor who specializes in helping kids who have cancer, they might get a fellowship to help them pay for medical school or to pay for research to find better treatments. That way, they don't have to worry as much about things like paying for school or having enough money to live on while they're doing their important work.

So, fellowship is like a special gift that helps grown-ups do really important work that will help a lot of people.
