ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Feminist Review

Have you heard of the word "feminist"? It's a word used to describe people who want to make sure that girls and women are treated fairly and equally to boys and men. "Feminist review" is a special kind of writing where people talk about ways to make sure that girls and women are treated fairly and have the same opportunities as boys and men.

It's like when you and your friends want to make sure that everyone gets to play during recess - you might come up with a plan so that everyone has a turn, and no one is left out. Feminist review is kind of like that, but for grown-ups, and they talk about really important things like how girls and women are treated in schools, in the workplace, and even in their own homes.

Some people might think that boys and girls are the same, but they're not always treated the same way. For example, grown-ups might think that girls are better at art or writing, while boys are better at math and science. But really, everyone can be good at anything they want with the right support.

Feminist review is all about making sure that everyone has the same chances to do well and be happy, no matter if they're a boy or a girl.
