Feminist epistemology

Feminist epistemology is a way of looking at the world and understanding it from the perspectives of different genders. It works to understand how women's experiences differ from men's and how knowledge created in today's society reflects and reinforces these differences. Feminist epistemology often focuses on how women's experiences have been dismissed, undervalued or excluded in the past and how this has shaped the way we know and consider things today. It works to make sure that the knowledge that is produced and accepted is fair and representative of both men and women's perspectives.
