Fertility in art

Okay, kiddo. Have you ever seen a painting or a sculpture that shows a woman who looks like she's going to have a baby? That's what we call "fertility art."

Fertility art has been around for a long, long time because having babies has always been very important to people. When someone made a fertility statue or painted a picture of a woman with a big belly, it was supposed to help them have kids.

It's like a good luck charm, but for having babies. People believed that if they looked at or touched the fertility art, it would help them become parents.

Sometimes, people also made art to honor gods and goddesses of fertility. They believed that praying to these gods and goddesses and making offerings to them would help them have children.
