Fiber-reinforced concrete

Fiber-reinforced concrete is a very strong type of concrete that has little pieces of material called fibers mixed in with it. These fibers can be made from lots of different materials, like plastic or steel. When the concrete dries, the fibers form a little web inside of it.

Think of it like adding spaghetti to soup. The spaghetti is like the fibers in the concrete, and the soup is like the concrete. When the soup is hot, the spaghetti gets soft and blends in, but when it cools down, the spaghetti makes the soup thicker and stronger.

The fibers make the concrete stronger by helping it resist bending, breaking, and cracking. That means that things made with this type of concrete, like buildings and bridges, can stay standing even if there are strong winds or earthquakes.

So, basically, fiber-reinforced concrete is like a superhero version of regular concrete - tougher, stronger, and more durable.
