Field recording

Field recording is like taking a picture, but it's a picture of a sound. You know how you use your ears to hear different sounds in the world around you? Well, field recording is like using a special camera to capture those sounds so you can listen to them later.

Field recorders are these special cameras that have really good microphones. They can be used by all sorts of people like musicians, filmmakers, and scientists. They take them out into the world to record all sorts of things like birds chirping, dogs barking, people talking, and even cars honking!

Once the sounds are recorded, they can be put together in all different ways to make music, sound effects for movies, or even just to study different kinds of sounds. It's a really cool way to capture the sounds of the world around us!
