Filipino people of Spanish ancestry

Filipino people of Spanish ancestry are Filipino people whose ancestors came from Spain. This means that their family has been in the Philippines for a long time and their heritage is part of the Filipino culture. Spanish people came to the Philippines hundreds of years ago and over time, their families stayed in the Philippines and became part of the Filipino community. Today, people with Spanish ancestry in the Philippines still speak Spanish and have some traditional elements of Spanish culture in their lives.
