ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Final approach

Alright kiddo, so final approach is like the last part of a plane ride where the plane is getting ready to land. It's kind of like when you're playing with your toy car and you make it drive towards the finish line.

During final approach, the pilot will communicate with the control tower to make sure it's safe to land. They'll also adjust the plane's speed and direction to make sure it's lined up with the runway.

Once the plane is close enough to the runway, the pilot will start to slow it down even more, and it might get a little bumpy as it prepares to touch the ground.

So basically, final approach is the part of the plane ride where the plane is getting ready to land, and the pilot is making sure everything is safe and on track for a smooth landing.
