First Fridays Devotion

So, you know how we like to visit our friends and family on special days like birthdays or holidays? Well, in the Catholic religion, there is a special day for visiting and remembering Jesus. It's called First Fridays devotion.

On the first Friday of every month, people go to church and pray or think about Jesus for a little while. They might also do some special things like light a candle or say a prayer.

This tradition started a long time ago when Jesus appeared to a lady named St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and asked her to honor him on the first Friday of every month.

So, First Fridays devotion is like a special day for Catholics to visit and remember Jesus and show their love and respect for him.
