So, a long long time ago there was a man named Jesus who lived in a place called Israel. He was a really special person because he could perform miracles, like healing sick people and making food out of nothing.
Jesus had some friends, who were called disciples. These were the first people who believed in him and followed him around to learn more about his teachings.
There were 12 main disciples, and they were named Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (the son of Alphaeus), Simon (the Zealot), Thaddaeus (also known as Jude), and Judas Iscariot.
They went everywhere with Jesus – they listened to his teachings, watched him perform miracles, and even helped him with his work. Jesus loved and trusted his disciples so much that he even called them his friends.
They traveled with Jesus for three years, and during that time, they learned a lot from him. They learned about forgiveness, love, and how to help others.
The disciples were important because they helped spread Jesus’ message after he died. They went on to tell other people about Jesus and his teachings, and many people became followers of Jesus because of their work.
Today, we still remember the first disciples of Jesus and their important role in the history of Christianity.
