ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fiscal incidence

Fiscal incidence is when people, businesses, and organizations pay taxes. When you pay taxes, like income taxes or sales taxes, the government takes a cut of your money. This money helps pay for important things like roads, police, firefighters, schools, and other services. The fiscal incidence of a tax is the way in which the burden of paying it is shared among different groups.
