Okay, now think about adding another dimension - instead of just moving up and down, you can move in another direction that's not left, right, forward or backwards. This is like expanding the space you are playing in again.
If we keep adding more dimensions like this, we end up with five-dimensional space. This means we have even more directions we can move in, like twisting and turning in different ways.
It's hard for us to imagine what five-dimensional space would look like because we can only see and experience three dimensions, but some scientists believe it could help explain some things we don't fully understand about the universe.
