Flag carrier

A flag carrier is an airline that is owned or operated by the government of a particular country. It carries the country's flag in its logo and advertises itself as the national airline of that country. Flag carriers usually have routes that go around the world and they can often be found offering cheaper flights to people who live in the country that the airline is based in.
