Flag of Slovakia

The flag of Slovakia is made up of three colors; white, blue and red. The upper half of the flag is white while the lower half is blue. There is a red stripe in the middle of the flag extending horizontally, separating the white from the blue part. It might seem like a simple design, but there is a lot of meaning behind it!

The white color represents purity, innocence and sincerity which are important values in Slovakia. The blue color represents trust, loyalty and wisdom which are qualities that every person in Slovakia strives to have. Finally, the red stripe symbolizes the courage, bravery and valor of the people of Slovakia.

Interestingly, the flag used to be different before. When Slovakia and the Czech Republic were part of Czechoslovakia, they shared one flag. It had the same colors, but they were in a different pattern. When the Slovak Repubic became independent in 1993, they decided to come up with their own flag design to represent their own country.

So in summary, the flag of Slovakia has three colors - white, blue and red. White represents purity, blue represents loyalty and wisdom, and red represents courage and bravery. It was designed to represent the people of Slovakia when they gained their independence from Czechoslovakia in 1993.
