Flagstone

Flagstone is a type of rock that is often used to make sidewalks, patios, and other outdoor areas look pretty. Think of it like giant, flat puzzle pieces that fit together to make a cool design on the ground.

Flagstone comes in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. Some flagstone is dark and smooth, while other pieces are light and bumpy. Flagstone can even be different colors in the same piece!

Once people pick out the flagstone they want to use, they put it down on the ground like a puzzle. Sometimes they need to cut pieces to make them fit in a certain spot, but that's okay because flagstone is pretty easy to cut.

After all the pieces are in place, people sweep sand or gravel in between the cracks to help hold the flagstone in place. Then everyone can enjoy walking, playing, and even dancing on the pretty flagstone floor!
