Flail (weapon)

A flail is a kind of weapon that has a long handle with a chain or rope attached to one end. At the end of the chain or rope, there is usually a sturdy ball or several smaller pieces attached. The weapon works by swinging the ball around, using the handle as a lever, and hitting an enemy with the ball. The ball has a lot of force behind it because of the speed it gains as it swings around. The flail was a popular weapon in medieval times, but today it is not commonly used anymore.
