ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Flashforward

Flashforward is like watching a movie or TV show, but sometimes it shows you a short scene from the future. Kind of like seeing a sneak peek of what is going to happen later in the story.

For example, imagine you are watching a show about a family who are going to go on a vacation to the beach. Suddenly, the show jumps to a scene where you see the family returning home from the beach and their house is now a mess with sand and beach toys scattered everywhere. This is a flashforward because it is showing you what happens in the future, but it hasn't happened yet in the story.

Flashforwards help give viewers a glimpse of what might come next in the story and can create suspense or anticipation for what will happen in the future. They can also give us a better understanding of the characters or their motivations.

Overall, flashforwards are just a way to see a scene from the future in a story or show. They help keep us interested in the story and wondering what is going to happen next.
