ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

FlightAware

Okay kiddo, are you ready to learn about FlightAware? FlightAware is like a magic window that lets you see all the airplanes flying in the sky, just like you see birds outside your window.

So, when airplanes fly in the sky, they send out a special signal called ADS-B. FlightAware has a special device that can pick up that signal and show us on a map where each airplane is flying.

See, it's like your smartwatch that shows your location, except that airplanes have their own special smartwatch.

FlightAware also collects all sorts of data about the airplanes, like their flight number, their speed, their altitude, and even the type of airplane they are. This is cool because you can look at the map and see all the different airplanes flying around, and then click on one to see more information about it!

Now, FlightAware also has a website where you can search for flights and see the exact time they will arrive or depart. You can also get notified if your flight is delayed or cancelled.

And that, my little genius, is FlightAware - a magical window into the world of airplanes!
