ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Food prices

Food prices are how much money it costs to buy food. Different types of food, like fruits, vegetables, meats and sweets, can cost different amounts. The prices of food can change depending on where you buy it, how much of it you buy, and what time of year it is. When food is in season, it tends to be cheaper. So, if you buy apples in the fall, when they're in season, you'll usually pay less than if you buy them in the winter. In some stores, food might even be on sale, which means you can get it at a lower price.
