Football helmet

A football helmet is a special hat that football players wear to keep their heads safe while they play the game. The helmet is made up of different parts to help protect different parts of their head.

The top part of the helmet is called the crown. It's like the roof of a house and covers the very top of the head. The front of the helmet has a big piece called the face mask, which protects the player's face from getting hit. The face mask is made up of metal bars that are put together like a fence.

Inside the helmet, there is a big piece of foam that helps cushion the head. This foam is called padding. There's also a chin strap that goes under the player's chin and keeps the helmet from falling off.

The helmet is designed to be tough and durable. If a player gets hit in the head, the helmet helps absorb some of the force of the impact so their head doesn't get hurt. But, it's important to remember that no helmet can prevent all head injuries or concussions. That's why football players also have to practice safe techniques and rules to avoid getting hit too hard.
