ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Force feeding

Force feeding means giving food to someone who does not want to eat it. This is like when mommy wants you to eat your vegetables, but you really don't want to. Sometimes, people or animals get sick and they need to eat healthy food to get better. But if they don't want to eat, the doctor or the caretaker might have to put the food directly into their mouth or stomach so they can get better. This way, they can get the important vitamins and nutrients they need to be healthy. However, force feeding can be uncomfortable and sometimes even painful, so it is very important to only do it when it's necessary and with great care.
