ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Forcible entry

Forcible entry means breaking into a place by using force. Imagine you are playing hide and seek and your friend locks himself/herself in a room without telling you the password. You want to get in and find your friend but the door is locked. You try to push the door but it won't budge. Then you decide to use your toy hammer to hit the door handle and the lock until it breaks open. That's what forcible entry is, breaking into a locked place by using force. However, in real life, only authorized people like police officers or firefighters are allowed to use forcible entry to enter a place in emergency situations. They use special tools and techniques to break down doors or windows and enter the place to help people who are in danger or need assistance.
