Forum shopping

Forum shopping is when someone tries to find the court that will give them the best result in a legal case. It means that instead of going to a court that is closest to them, or that they are assigned to, they look for a court which will give them the outcome they want. For example, if someone wanted to sue someone else, they might look for a court where the judge is more likely to be on their side, or the laws are more favorable to them.
