Fountain

A fountain is like a big toy that shoots water up in the air. Do you remember playing with your water gun and squirting water out? A fountain kind of works like that, but on a bigger scale.

Instead of using a water gun, fountains have pipes and pumps that push water up through a special nozzle. This nozzle is usually shaped like a big ball or a mushroom. When the water shoots out of the nozzle, it looks like a big ball of water or sprays out in a pretty pattern.

Fountains come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Some fountains are very tall and shoot water really high up in the air. Other fountains are smaller and more like a little fountain in a garden or park.

Fountains are really fun to look at and make pretty sounds. People like to take pictures of fountains and watch the water. Some fountains have lights at night to make them even more special.

But it's important to remember that fountains can be dangerous too. It's not safe to swim or play in a fountain, because the water is moving very fast and can knock you down. So it's always best to enjoy fountains from a safe distance.
