Four Evangelists

So, you know how when someone writes a really cool story or a book, they put their name on it? Well, a long time ago, four guys named Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John wrote stories about a very important man named Jesus.

These guys were called the "four evangelists". That's a fancy word that means they told everyone about Jesus and his teachings. They wrote down what they heard and saw when they met Jesus or talked to people who knew him really well.

So, Matthew wrote a story about how Jesus helped people and taught them to be kind and loving. Mark wrote a story about how Jesus healed sick people and did many amazing things. Luke wrote a story about how Jesus was born and how he showed love and forgiveness to everyone. And John wrote a story about how Jesus was God's son and how he came to save everyone from their sins.

All these stories together teach us about the life and teachings of Jesus. That's why we call them the "four evangelists". They are like superheroes who spread the word of Jesus and helped people know him better.
