ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Four color theorem

The four color theorem says that if you have any map with different colors on it, you only need to use four colors so that no two colors are next to each other. It's a bit like a puzzle. Imagine that your map is like a jigsaw, and each piece of it is a different shape. You can only use four colors of paint to color in the shape-pieces so that no pieces of the same color touch. That way, your map will look really colorful!
