ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fragmented object

Hello there! A fragmented object is something that used to be a whole thing, but now it's in little pieces.

Imagine building a castle with blocks. Each block is a part of the castle, but when the castle falls apart, the blocks are all over the place. Those blocks now are fragments of the castle.

Sometimes, objects get broken or smashed, like when you accidentally drop your favorite toy and it shatters into tiny pieces. Those pieces are fragmented parts of your toy.

Now, imagine how hard it would be to play with a toy that is in little pieces or build a castle when the blocks are all scattered around. Similarly, it's hard to use a fragmented object since it's not in one piece anymore.

So, that's what a fragmented object is – something that was once whole but now is broken into smaller pieces.
