France–Spain relations

France–Spain relations are the relationship between the governments of the two countries, France and Spain. Both countries share a long history, with many ties and similarities. France and Spain are both members of the European Union and cooperate on many topics, such as promoting peace, culture, and economic growth. They have also had some differences, including disputes over fishing and other resources in the Mediterranean Sea and in the Pyrenees mountains.
