France–Turkey relations

France and Turkey are two countries that have had a complicated relationship for hundreds of years. The French and the Turks have had a lot of contact over the years, with both countries trading goods, having wars against each other, and even getting along as allies at times. These days, France and Turkey are often working together to tackle political issues in the Middle East and developing world, while also working to strengthen their economic ties through trade and investments. France and Turkey also share many similar cultural values and share a long history of interaction with each other.
