Francoist Spain

Francoist Spain was a period in Spanish history that lasted from 1939 until 1975. During this time, Spain was ruled by a dictator. His name was Francisco Franco. He was a strong leader and very strict with the laws of the country. He would not allow any different kinds of opinions or ways of thinking and strongly believed that everyone should be loyal to the country and its laws. Everyone had to obey him and follow his rules or be punished. Life was hard and the people often lived in fear.
