ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Frederick Rowland Emett

Frederick Rowland Emett was a man who loved to make very interesting and exciting things that moved and made people feel happy. He was born a long time ago in England, in the year 1906. When Frederick was a kid, he liked to play with toys that were mechanical, which means they had gears and wheels and worked like a little machine. These toys fascinated him and he wanted to create his own mechanical machines when he grew up.

As an adult, Frederick became very skilled at making machines that looked like they came from a magical world. He would use everyday things like old car parts and metal scraps to create whimsical contraptions that moved in strange and wonderful ways. He would often add beautiful details, like gold and silver paint or shiny jewels, to make them look even more special.

Some of Frederick's famous machines include things like giant caged birds that flapped their wings, hot air balloons with beautiful designs, and even a machine that made tea! He even created some machines for Disneyland, a special place where people go to have fun and be happy.

Although Frederick is no longer with us, his machines are still very famous and people all over the world look at them with amazement and joy. He was a true example of following your dreams and making something beautiful out of everyday things.
