Freedom of the press in the Russian Federation

Freedom of the press means the ability of people to express their opinions and ideas in the media without being censored or punished by the government. In Russia, the government can limit freedom of the press by punishing people who write or say things they don’t like. This means that people might get in trouble if they write or say something that the government doesn’t want them to. The government can also make it difficult for people to get their ideas in the media, such as newspapers or television. This means that people in Russia don’t always have the same freedoms and rights to express their ideas as they might in other countries.
