Freemuse Awards

Freemuse Awards are awards given to people who help protect the freedom of musical expression. They give out awards to people or organisations who have done a lot to help promote musical expression in the face of oppression. Some examples of people who have received these awards are recording artists, governments, journalists, activists, and non-profits involved in the music industry. They recognize these people for their bravery in standing up for musicians’ rights, even when it wasn't easy or safe. By giving these awards, Freemuse celebrates and honors the people who make sure everyone can enjoy music freely.
