French Guiana

French Guiana is a big piece of land that belongs to France but it's very far away from the mainland of France, so it's located in South America. It's kind of like a super big island that's connected to the continent of South America.

People who live in French Guiana speak French because it is a French Territory. It's a place with a lot of other languages too, like Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

French Guiana has very cool animals that live there, like monkeys, snakes, and tropical birds. And did you know that there is a giant Amazon forest that covers almost the whole country? It's true!

The people who live there get to enjoy the warm weather all year long because French Guiana is close to the equator where it's always hot.

French Guiana also has a special space program where rockets are launched into space. They have a place called Guiana Space Centre where they send things like satellites and special machines into the sky.
