French livre

Okay kiddo, so let's talk about French livre.

You know how sometimes people use money to buy things they want, like toys, candy or books? Well, in France a long time ago, they used a type of money called livre.

Now, imagine you have a big bag of marbles. Each marble is worth a certain amount of money. In France, they would use livres instead of marbles.

One livre was made up of 20 sous, and one sou was made up of 12 deniers. So, if you had one livre, you could trade it for 20 sou, or 240 deniers.

But wait, there's more! Over time, the French started using different types of money, like francs and euros. So, the French livre is not used anymore. It's kind of like how we used to use floppy disks to save computer files but now we use USB drives.

So, that's basically what a French livre is. It was a type of money used a long time ago in France, before they started using francs and euros.
