Fusion paranoia

Hello there, little one! Today we are going to talk about a big word called "fusion paranoia."

Have you ever heard of the word "paranoia"? It means that someone is afraid and thinks that something bad is going to happen to them, even if it's not true.

Well, "fusion paranoia" is when two people who are very afraid start to believe in the same thing and make each other even more scared.

Let's say that you and your friend are afraid of monsters. You tell your friend that you saw a monster under your bed last night, and your friend gets scared too. Then your friend tells you they saw a monster in their closet. Now you are both more afraid than before because you think there are monsters everywhere!

This is what "fusion paranoia" is like - two people who are scared start to believe in each other's fears and make each other even more afraid. It's not a good feeling, so it's always better to try to help each other feel less afraid instead of making each other more scared.

I hope that makes sense, little buddy! Remember, if you're ever feeling scared, it's always okay to talk to a grown-up or someone you trust about how you're feeling.
