ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

GABA receptor

Gaba receptors are like special doorways in our brain. They help the brain send and receive messages. When something goes through the doorway, it's like a tiny delivery to the brain. Gaba receptors help the brain get certain messages which help the brain decide how to feel - if it should be calm or worried. Having too much gaba can make us feel sleepy, and not enough can make us feel anxious.
