GIS and aquatic science

GIS stands for Geographic Information Systems. It's a type of computer technology that helps people better understand and use maps. Aquatic science is the study of life in the water. GIS and aquatic science work together because they both help scientists learn more about water environments. GIS lets scientists look at detailed maps and see where bodies of water are located. It also helps scientists figure out what the water is like in different areas. Aquatic science helps scientists understand what kind of creatures live in the water and how water ecosystems work. By combining GIS and aquatic science, scientists can get a better picture of aquatic habitats and what changes might be happening to them.
