Gaia catalogues

Gaia catalogues are like big books that scientists use to learn about lots of stars and other objects in space. The Gaia spacecraft is like a really fancy camera that takes pictures of the sky over and over again. It takes so many pictures that it can see how the stars move and change over time.

The scientists use these pictures to figure out lots of things about the stars, like how far away they are, how bright they are, and how fast they're moving. They put all of this information into the Gaia catalogues so that other scientists can use it too.

The Gaia catalogues are really important because they help us learn more about our galaxy, the Milky Way. This helps us understand the Universe better and can even help us find other places where life might exist. So, in a way, the Gaia catalogues help us explore the cosmos, just like explorers on Earth have maps to help them find new places.
