Galette

Alright kiddo, a galette is kind of like a pie, but it's not in a pie pan - it's flat and the edges are folded up around the filling.

Think of it like making a pizza, but instead of putting toppings all over the whole pizza, you just put them in the middle. Then, you fold up the edges of the pizza dough to make a little "crust" around the filling.

You can fill a galette with all kinds of yummy things, like fruit, cheese, vegetables, or meat. And because the edges of the galette are folded up, it's easier to eat than a regular pie - you can just pick it up and eat it like a slice of pizza!
