Garbage patch

A garbage patch is an area in the ocean filled with lots of bottles, cans, plastic bags and other kinds of trash. All the trash was thrown away in a place that it didn't belong, so it floated all the way out to the ocean and eventually got stuck in one big spot. This big spot is called a garbage patch, and it is really bad for the animals and the environment.
