ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gardon gauge

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a ruler? It helps you measure things, right? A garden gauge is kind of like a ruler, but it helps you measure how much water your garden is getting.

The garden gauge has a little tube that you put in the ground next to your plants. When you water your garden, some of the water goes into the tube. The tube has little marks on it, just like the ruler has little marks. When you look at the garden gauge, you can see how much water is in it and how high up the water goes.

This helps you make sure you're giving your plants just the right amount of water. If the water in the tube goes up too high, it means you're giving your plants too much water and they might get sick. If the water in the tube doesn't go up high enough, it means your plants aren't getting enough water and they might start to die.

So the garden gauge helps you take care of your plants by telling you how much water they need. Pretty cool, huh?
