Gas-guzzler

Have you seen those big trucks or SUVs that seem to always be drinking a lot of gas even when they are not driving for long? Well, those are called gas-guzzlers.

Just like how you have to eat food to have the energy to run, cars need to burn gasoline to move. Gas-guzzlers are cars that burn a lot of gas compared to other cars. This can happen because they are a lot bigger and heavier than smaller cars, or they have a bigger engine that needs more fuel to work.

But burning lots of gas is bad for the environment because it makes a lot of pollution, like smog and greenhouse gases, which is not good for our planet. Also, because gas is expensive, a gas-guzzler can cost more to fill up and more money per mile to run than a regular car.

So it's important to try to find cars that use less gas, like hybrid or electric cars, that help us save money and help protect our planet.
