Gastronorm

Okay, so try to imagine a group of people who are organizing a big party. They need to figure out how to store and serve food in a way that makes it easy for everyone to access it. That's where gastronorm comes in.

Gastronorm is a system of standardized containers and trays that are used in commercial kitchens, restaurants, and catering companies. It's sort of like a bunch of Legos that all fit together perfectly.

Each gastronorm container has a certain size and shape, like a small square or a long rectangle. They come in lots of different depths and widths to fit all kinds of different dishes.

Because they're all the same size, chefs and servers can easily stack them in shelves or place them in warming trays to keep food hot. When it's time to serve, they can simply take out a tray and put it on a buffet table or pass it around to guests.

Gastronorm containers are also really helpful for prep work. Chefs can chop vegetables or mix ingredients in a deep, rectangular container that fits perfectly on a work table. When they're done, they can slide it into a fridge or freezer for later use.

So, in summary, gastronorm is a system of containers and trays that make it easy to store, warm, and serve food in a commercial kitchen or at a big party. Just like Legos, they all fit together perfectly and come in lots of different shapes and sizes to fit any dish.
