So, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, or GLAAD for short, is a group of people who try to make sure that gay and lesbian people are treated fairly and with respect.
GLAAD also works to change how people think about gay and lesbian people. They want people to know that it's okay to be who you are, no matter who you love. They do this through things like education, talking to the media, and working with big companies and organizations.
