Gee-H (navigation)

Gee-h was an old way of helping planes and ships find their way around the world using radio waves. Just like how your phone can connect to Wi-Fi, these planes and ships used a special kind of radio wave to connect to stations on the ground. The people on the ground would send out a signal that would bounce off an object in the sky (like a plane or bird), and then bounce back to the ground station. By measuring how long it takes for the signal to bounce back, the people on the ground could figure out where the plane or ship was located. This was helpful because it allowed planes and ships to travel long distances without getting lost. However, today we have more advanced technology for navigation, like GPS, which can tell us our exact location using satellites in space.
