General-purpose modeling

Well kiddo, general-purpose modeling means that we are trying to make something that can be used for lots of different things. Imagine a toy box that has all sorts of toys in it, like balls, dolls, and action figures. Each toy can be played with in a different way, but they all belong in the same box.

In the same way, modeling is like making a toy. It involves creating a representation of something, usually using computer software. This something can be anything, like a building, a piece of machinery, or even a person's face.

Now, when we say that the modeling is general-purpose, it means that the thing we are creating can be used in many different ways. For example, if we create a model of a car, we can use it to design the car's shape, test how it will move on the road, and even create a virtual car that people can drive in a video game.

So, general-purpose modeling is all about creating something that can be adapted to different uses. It helps people to design, test, and visualize things in a more efficient and effective way.
