ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Generalised circle

A generalised circle is like a special kind of shape that can be really big or really small, but it always has a round shape like a circle. Think of it like a pizza that can be as big as a table or as small as a plate, but it's always round!

But the thing that makes generalised circles special is that they can be kind of squished or stretched out too. Imagine if you were holding a balloon and you squeezed it from the top and bottom - it would still be round, but a little wider in the middle. That's kind of like what happens with a generalised circle.

So basically, a generalised circle is a shape that looks like a round pizza, but it can be really big or really small, and it can be a little bit squished or stretched out too.
